sign up for Wireless@SG?
|
|
A: You
will no longer have to search for a particular Wireless Hotspot belonging to
your mobile or broadband service provider. With Wireless@SG, you can now surf
the Internet in most public areas such as Cafes, Bus stops, Coffee Shops, along
the sidewalks etc with a single login account.

5. What
is the speed of the internet?

A: For
the Free Basic Wireless@SG account, you get speeds of up to 1Mbps at most
public areas.

6. So
I can access internet and other services?
|
|
A: Once connected, users will be
able to access all Internet-based services e.g. online gaming, web surfing,
instant messaging, VoIP and email.

7. Can
I access via my laptop or WIFI enable handphone?
|
|
A: To connect to the Wireless@SG
wireless broadband network, a user just needs a WiFi-enabled device, such as a
laptop computer or a PDA, a web browser, and a registered Wireless@SG account.

8. Wireless@SG
is powered by which Operators?
|
|
A: The Wireless@SG services are
provided by M1 Net Ltd, iCell and Singtel.
|

9. Do
I have to sign up with all three operators?
|
|
A: You can choose to sign up at
any time with any one of the three operators, and be able to access all the
three operators' networks with one single account. The user is able to roam
within any of Wireless@SG's coverage areas, regardless of the operators'
network.

10. Do
I have to be an existing customer?
|
|
A: You do not have to be
existing subscribers of these operators to enjoy the free service.
|
|

11. Who
can sign up?
|
|
A: All residents and visitors in
Singapore, including tourists and business travellers..
|

12. If I want to sign up for higher / faster
speed?
|
|
A: For
those hungry for bandwidth beyond 1Mbps or connectivity options with higher
quality of service, the three operators will also offer premium services at a
fee..

13. So I register with M1 Net Ltd, what is the
next step?
|
|
A: We will sms and/or email you
the password. There are basically 2 ways by which you can register with M1 Net
Ltd. If you register online through http://www.M1Net.com.sg/Wireless-SG/,
website, you will receive an email with a password. If you register online
through one of M1 Net Ltd's hotspots, you will receive a SMS with your
password.

got the login ID and password, what is the next step?

A: Search for wireless coverage
with your WIFI enabled device and select Wireless@SG. You are now connected..
|

15. How do I know
if a hotspot belongs to M1 Net Ltd?
|
|
A: Look out for the
M1 Net Ltd's Logo on your Hotspot Welcome Screen..
|
|

16. The
Wireless@SG hotspot previously provided by Qmax is now provided by M1 Net Ltd.
How does this affect me?
|

A: You
can continue to use your current user-id and password to access all Wireless@SG
hotspots. However, please select the M1Net.com.sg domain from the drop-down
menu when you login at the Wireless@SG login page.

17. Can I continue to use the
qmax.com.sg domain for my Wireless@SG login?
|
|
A: No,
the qmax.com.sg domain will be removed from 15 January 2010. You will have to
select the M1Net.com.sg from the drop-down menu when you login at the
Wireless@SG login page.
